This section checks the general knowledge of the candidates. Around 20 questions are there in this section.
In this section, candidates are tested based on their proficiency in English. The total number of questions here is 30.
In this section, candidates are tested on all basic mathematical concepts.
EKT Syllabus- The AFCAT-EKT exam syllabus is a general engineering part of AFCAT. It is based on common topics revolving around different branches of engineering. And based on the degree of the candidate, questions are there from their specialized part.
Indian Air Force(IAF) conducts the Air Force Common Admission Test which is popularly known as AFCAT, for recruiting candidates into flying, technical and ground duty branches. This exam is conducted twice a year. The modules of this examination are designed to test the understanding level of concepts and IQ level of the candidate. It is conducted in the month of February and August in online mode.
Candidates of AFCAT have to appear in the written test as it is a mandatory process. And the ones who had applied for any technical rank need to attempt in the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).
AFCAT & EKT Exam Pattern- The subjects, the time allowed and the maximum marks allotted to each subject will be as follows:

Answer: AFCAT Exam Marking Scheme for the Year 2021 - Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks for unattempted questions.
Answer: AFCAT Syllabus is divided into four subjects that are - General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test.
Answer: Candidates give AFCAT online Exam for maximum marks of 300. The time duration for AFCAT is 2 hours, and the number of questions asked in the AFCAT exam is 100 questions MCQ based.
Answer: Candidates give EKT online Exam for maximum marks of 150. The time duration for EKT is 45 minutes, and the number of questions asked in the EKT exam is 50 questions MCQ based.
